About the Course
This Level 3 Regulated Course covers Paediatric First Aid, enabling you to provide the best care for children in emergencies.
This accredited qualification provides theoretical and practical training in First Aid techniques that are specific to infants aged 0 to 1, and children aged from 1 year old to the onset of puberty. You will become familiar with your role as a paediatric first aider being able to assess and react appropriately to an emergency, such as a child or an infant who is unresponsive, has an airway obstruction or is suffering from shock. As well as meeting the guidelines of the HSE and the Resuscitation Council UK, we have incorporated the latest CPR and Coronavirus recommendations in your course. Our Paediatric courses meet the latest 2019 learning outcomes laid down by the Awarding Organisations.
Topical subjects included are wounds, fractures, dislocations, injuries to the head, neck, back, eyes, ears or nose, poisoning, bites or stings and electric shock.
You must complete the online part 1 of a 2-part blended course. After completing this online course, you may find and attend the classroom-only part 2 course.
